PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

CT SOUR 101 a clear, water-white, hygroscopic liquid with an ammonical odor.

APPLICATION

CT SOUR 101 alkanolamines and their aqueous solutions will absorb carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide at lower temperatures and release the acid gases at higher temperatures. This forms the basis for processes which separate carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide from gas streams.

ADVANTAGES

CT SOUR 101 is also used in natural gas plants for the bulk removal of carbon dioxide while producing a gas stream.

Physical appearance - Clear liquid

Specific gravity  - 1.0 – 1.10

Solubility in water   - Soluble.

Active Content - 45% Minimum.

PACKING AND STORAGE

CT SOUR 101 is packaged in 55‐gal (208‐L) drums. Store in dry, well‐ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles.
