SASH-AL Aluminum Shale Control & Wellbore Stability Additive
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
SASH-AL is a cost-effective, high temperature and high salt resistant aluminum sulphonated resin compound shale control additive formulated to impart borehole and cuttings stability in water based drilling fluids. SASH-AL precipitates in rock matrix, decreases permeability and controls pore pressure transmission, which is considered very important to prevent wellbore breakouts. It minimizes drilling fluid volumes and associated wastes.
APPLICATION
SASH-AL is an effective shale control additive for all water based drilling fluids, fresh water to saturated sodium chloride brines. It is applicable when high wellbore stability is required.
ADVANTAGES
SASH-AL reduces formation breakouts. It penetrates microfractures and decreases permeability of rock matrix. SASH-AL prevents pore pressure enhancement in formations. It is resistant at high temperatures & high salt concentrations. When high wellbore stability is required, SASH-AL is very useful.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
SASH-AL normal treatment ranges from 4.1 to 8.0 lb/bbl (11.4 to 22.9 kg/m3) and provide satisfactory performance under most conditions. Pre hydrate prior to application in fluid system for the best performance
