DESCRIPTION

Sodium Metabisulfite belongs to the sulfite family and bears the chemical formula Na2S2O5. It is in crystalline or powder form with sulfur odor and is used as food preservative, antioxidant, disinfectant and bleaching agent

• As a preservative, additive and antioxidant in food industry

• Dechlorination in general wastewater, power, paper & pulp and textile water treatment plants

• Cyanide detoxification in mines

• As an important agent in acidifying fixing baths
