PIBSA Polyisobutylene Succinic Anhydride

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

PIBSA is a high viscosity non fatty surfactant additive derived from polyisobutylene. It is the major initiator of most of the Emulsifiers and the usage varies in multiple industries like Oil & Gas, Mining, Geothermal Drilling, Crude oil production etc. It is also one of the most stable intermediate for dispersants and lubricants.

Physical Appearance: Amber to Brown Liquid

Specific Gravity: 0.89 - 0.95

Flash Point (CC): 175°C

Viscosity at 70°C: 1800 +/- 100 cps

Acid Value: 20 - 25 mg KOH/gm

SAP value: 45 - 55 mg KOH/gm

PACKING AND STORAGE

PIBSA is packed in 5-Gal / 55-Gal Drums. Max storage temperature shall be 70°C. Store in dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles. Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and/or stacking.
