PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Furfural is an organic compound, a biomass-based aldehyde, a colorless to light brown liquid which has many uses including extraction process in refineries to making furfuryl alcohol and other furfural derivatives.


APPLICATION

  • Used as an extraction agent in petroleum refining industry

  • It is used in the manufacturing of 2 furaldehyde derivatives

  • It is as a purification agent for hydrocarbons in rubber manufacturing process

  • An excellent wetting agent and a reactive solvent in steel industry.

  • It is an important renewable, non-petroleum based, chemical feedstock

  • Used in the manufacturing of polymers

  • It is used as an intermediate in pesticide production
