CT-FEC L | FERRIC CHLORIDE LIQUID 40%

DESCRIPTION

Ferric chloride is an inorganic compound with the formula FeCl3. In 40% solution, Ferric Chloride is in dark brown colored liquid form. It has a slight, pungent odor reminiscent of hydrochloric acid. Ferric chloride is known for its strong acidic properties. It reacts with alkali metals and carbonates to produce hydrogen gas. This reactivity makes it effective in water treatment processes, especially in the flocculation and coagulation of suspended particles.

APPLICATION

Ferric chloride has various applications, primarily its coagulating properties and its role as an etching agent. In water treatment, Ferric Chloride is utilized as a coagulant to remove impurities and contaminants. Its ability to cause particles to clump together and settle out of the water column is invaluable for ensuring clean water supplies.

Electronics manufacturers utilize Ferric Chloride as an etching solution for printed circuit boards. Its corrosive properties enable the precise removal of unwanted copper, producing detailed and efficient PCB designs.
