INVERT EMULSIFIER CT EMUL-OB

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

CT-EMUL OB is an invert emulsifier, an efficient oil wetting agent and an organic surfactant designed for mineral oil and paraffin-based drilling fluid systems. It helps to stabilize emulsions and wetting agent in oil-based mud systems. CT-EMUL OBhelps obtaining high temperature stable invert emulsions with low filtration rates when used with other emulsifiers. It has minimal alkalinity requirements and compatible with all mineral oil and paraffin-based fluid systems.

APPLICATION

Improves thermal stability

High temperature, high pressure (HTHP) filtration control.

Very effective over a wide temperature range.

Has very minimal alkalinity requirements

Promotes Oil wetting in invert emulsion systems

ADVANTAGES

Emulsifier improves emulsion stability and functions as a secondary wetting agent and provides viscosity.

It improves the thermal stability and contaminations – resistance of an oil mud.

It is stable to temperatures above 204°C (400°F)

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

Initial system formulations require 2 to 8 lb/bbl (5.7 to 22.8 kg/m3), depending on the properties desired and other components in the system.

PACKING AND STORAGE

CT-EMUL OB is packaged in 5‐gal (18.9‐L) cans and 55‐gal (208‐L) drums. Store in dry, well‐ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles.
