DRILLING DEFOAMER ALCOHOL BASED DEAFOAM-A

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

DEFOAM-A is a high   molecular weight fatty alcohol based defoamer to control foaming in all water-based drilling fluids as well as brine-based completion and work over   fluids.

APPLICATION

DEFOAM-A is used for the elimination and control of foam associated with the mixing and circulation of brines, as well as in dispersed and non-dispersed drilling fluid systems.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Physical Appearance: Colorless Clear Liquid

Specific Gravity: 0.82 - 0.89

Flash Point (PMCC): Above 70°C

Efficiency test in 1.15 SG NaCl brine: 80% foam height to     be eliminated in ≤ 60 seconds.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

Typical treatment range is 0.05-0.30 lb/bbl (0.14-0.86 kg/m³).

PACKING AND STORAGE

DEFOAM-A is packaged in 5‐gal (18.9‐L) cans and 55‐gal (208‐L) drums. Store in dry, well‐ventilated area. Keep   container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles.
