FILTRATION CONTROL ADDITIVE CT-TROL

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
CT-TROL Organophilic Lignite is temperature-stable amine treated lignite commonly used for filtration control in oil-base muds and synthetic-base muds.

APPLICATION
CT-TROL provides non-asphaltic filtration control in OBM and SBM systems, is effective over a wide range of temperatures and it enhances emulsion stability.

ADVANTAGES

It mixes easily and controls HTHP filtrate.
Works in all types of oil base muds and synthetic base muds at varying concentrations. Increases the stability of fluids to temperatures above 400 °F.
Provides supplemental emulsion stability at high temperatures.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Physical Appearance - Black free-flowing powder.

Solubility in water - Slightly.

Specific Gravity - 1.6 – 1.8

PACKING & STORAGE:
CT-TROL is packaged in 25-kg (55.1-lb) multiwall paper bags. Store in a dry location away from sources of heat or ignition, and minimize dust.
