VISCOSIFIER CT-GEL

PRODUCT   DESCRIPTION

CT-GEL is an oil   miscible viscosifier and gelling agent used in combination with Primary   emulsifier, Secondary emulsifier and used in oil-base mud systems. As well as   filter-cake formation and filtration control, it can be used to increase   carrying capacity and suspension properties, providing support for weight   materials and improved cuttings removal.

APPLICATION

CT-GEL is   effective to provide desired viscosity and gel strengths in oil-base and   synthetic-base mud systems. It has proved to be useful in drilling, coring,   workover and completion fluids.

ADVANTAGES

• Effective in mineral base oil, diesel oil and produced oil.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Physical   appearance  : Off-white to Tan Powder

Specific   Gravity  : 1.50 to 1.70

Solubility   in water  : Insoluble

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

CT-GEL is   normally added in concentrations of 2.0– 6.0 lbs/bbl (5.7–17.0 kg/m3).
The actual treatment required will depend upon the properties of the invert   emulsion drilling fluid to be treated.

PACKING AND STORAGE

CT-GEL is packed in 25Kg multi wall paper bags. Store in a dry well-ventilated area
