PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

CT CAB- L Calcium Bromide (CaBr2) brine is used during workover and completion operations that require densities from 8.4 to 15.3 lb/gal (1,007 to 1,833 kg/m3).

APPLICATION

CT CAB- L provides inhibition, preventing hydration and migration of swelling clays, and can be used for packer fluids or to adjust the density of other brine system.

ADVANTAGES

Calcium Bromide brines can be formulated with various crystallization points and are available for special applications and winter use.

Physical appearance     - Clear to Light Yellow Liquid.

Assay (As CaBr2 by titration)   - ≥ 52 % w/w

Specific gravity  @ 25 C  - 1.70 to 1.73

pH @ 25 C    - 6.0 to 8.5

Chlorides Cl-       - ≤ 0.30 % w/w

Sulphates SO4-2       - ≤ 0.1 % w/w

Heavy Metals     - ≤ 10 PPM

Water Insoluble (by Gravimetric) - ≤ 0.30 %

Crystallization point    - below -7 C

PACKING AND STORAGE

CT CAB-L is packaged in 1.7 mt IBC tank or 340 Kg Drums. Store in dry, well‐ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles.
